Some of the other betting terms used by the Tote.
Toteexacta - 2 selections - to finish 1st and 2nd in correct order
Toteexacta Reverse - 2 selections - to finish 1st and 2nd in either order
Totetrifecta - 3 selections - to finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in correct order
Totejackpot - 6 selections - to win each of the six totejackpot races at the totesport nominated totejackpot meeting
Toteplacepot - 6 selections - to be placed in each of the six consecutive races as decided by totesport (usually races 1-6) at meetings at all UK racecourses
Totequadpot - 4 selections - to be placed in each of the four consecutive races as decided by totesport (usually races 3-6) at meetings at all UK racecourses
Totescoop6 - 6 selections - to win or be placed in the six totesport nominated televised races
Totewin - bets operate on all races. More than one Win selection can be made in each race.
Toteplace - bets operate on races that have 5 or more runners. More than one Place selection can be made in each race. The number of places in a race varies with the number of runners.
Toteexacta - bets operate on all races of 3 or more runners and requires the selection of the first and second in correct order. A bet containing a non-runner will be void. A Straight toteexacta bet requires you to select the first and second horse in the correct order.
A Combination Toteexacta - bet requires you to select the first and second horse in any order. Any number of horses from 2 upwards may be selected.
Combination toteexacta with 2 selections only is commonly known as a Reverse toteexacta.
A Banker Toteexacta - bet requires you to select the winner and allows you to make multiple selections any of which may finish second. Within the Banker Permutations any individual toteexacta bet containing a non-runner will be void but the others will stand.
Toteexacta pool - when two horses dead heat for first place they will be deemed to have filled the first two positions thus resulting in two winning combinations. The net pool will be divided into two equal parts and one half will be divided by the stakes on one winning combination while the other half will be divided by the stakes on the other winning combination. The same principle applies if three or more horses dead heat for first place or if two or more horses dead heat for second place. Should a combination be unbacked, then the pool will be carried forward to the next appropriate races as decided by totesport.
To win the Totetrifecta - requires the selection of the first, second and third in correct order in a race of 8 or more runners nominated daily by totesport. Bets for Straight, Combination or Win Banker entries or multiple entries are accepted up to the ‘off’ of the race concerned totetrifecta bets operate on selected races of 8 or more runners.
Totejackpot - bets take place daily at one selected meeting. The aim is to select the winners of all 6 totejackpot races at the totejackpot meeting. The totejackpot races are always races 1 - 6 unless otherwise stated.
Toteplacepot - bets take place daily at every British race meeting. The aim is to select a placed horse (a horse on which a toteplace dividend would normally be declared) in all 6 toteplacepot races at your selected meeting.

Totequadpot - bets take place daily at every British race meeting. The aim is to select a placed horse (a horse on which a toteplace dividend would normally be declared) in 4 totequadpot races at your selected meeting. The totequadpot races are always races 3 - 6 unless otherwise stated.
A Totescoop6 - bet is available each week across six Saturday races, referred to as legs, designated by totesport. The legs may be from one or more race meetings that day.
